Some streets you walk in, 46th street? You wear it!

GRAVEL 46th Street is a particularly long-lasting fragrance experience.
Named in memory of the year 1957 when the first bottle of GRAVEL was sold on 46th Street in New York City.
The fragrance opens vibrantly with raspberry and birch, creating an energetic opening.
At the heart, a luxurious combination of precious woods and jasmine unfolds, giving the fragrance depth and sophistication, while cypriol adds a striking leather note and creates a seductive aura.
As the fragrance progresses, it gently settles on a warm base of incense, ambergris, musk and oud.
This extraordinary composition creates an unforgettable presence that lasts beautifully throughout the day.

An unmistakable signature

distinguishes the SIGNATURE COLLECTION. Unique and charismatic – like its creator, Michael B. Knudsen (born 1911), who traveled from Europe to New York and pursued his American dream by founding the GRAVEL brand with A MAN'S COLOGNE.

Since Michael Knudsen sold his first bottle on 46th Street in New York, he has spent decades in the American metropolis developing perfume concepts that remain unsurpassed to this day.

Fragrance notes

Fruity floral notes reminiscent of fruits or berries.

A select range of distinctive wood aromas. They impart a rich, dark aroma.

A fruity, floral fragrance accord. Jasmine is a very valuable and expensive fragrance ingredient. Its production is particularly complex. The blossoms must be hand-picked before sunrise to preserve the highest possible essential oil content.

It is predominantly cultivated in India. The oil is extracted from the shoots and roots of the sweetgrass and is a popular aroma. It has a pleasant woody-earthy scent with a long-lasting, leathery note. It is perceived as rather intense and strong.

The resin of the frankincense tree is obtained through a long and elaborate process. The resin possesses spicy, balsamic, and warm fragrance notes. It has been used for healing and spiritual purposes for thousands of years.

Ambergris (amber) is produced almost exclusively from synthetic substances in modern perfumery for animal welfare reasons. The scent of this fragrance note is woody and dry.

As a component of perfumes, it imparts a sweet, animalistic scent. Today, it is produced almost exclusively synthetically.

The fragrance oud, or aoud, is extracted from the resin of the agarwood tree, which grows in northeast India and Southeast Asia. The scent is perceived as oriental, sensual, aromatic, and sexy, but also warm, woody, and rough.
