Description

Each perfume in the GRAVEL family symbolizes a part of Knudsen's journey, beginning with his departure from Scandinavia to write perfume history in the land of his dreams. In 1957, with the support of Hazel Guggenheim, he developed the first men's fragrance in the USA: A MAN'S COLOGNE. This was such an immense success that he dedicated the rest of his career to the GRAVEL brand, creating numerous perfumes over the course of over 70 years. Until his death at the ripe old age of 98, Knudsen remained unwaveringly passionate and dedicated to the world of fragrance and was instrumental in the success of GRAVEL.
