Description

Each fragrance in the GRAVEL family symbolises part of Knudsen's journey, starting with his departure in Scandinavia to make perfume history in the land of his dreams. In 1957, with the help of Hazel Guggenheim, he developed the first men's fragrance in the USA: A MAN'S COLOGNE. This was such an immense success that he devoted the rest of his career to the GRAVEL brand, creating numerous perfumes over a period of more than 70 years. Until his death at the ripe old age of 98, Knudsen was undiminished in his passion and dedication to the world of fragrances and was largely responsible for GRAVEL's success.
