Michael B. Knudsen, is the creator of GRAVEL New York 1957. He faced many challenges to realize his dream of creating his own perfume.

At the time it was not foreseeable that he would develop a classic that marked the beginning of more than 70 years of perfume history with numerous fragrances. Each fragrance reflects its extraordinary life path. Also GRAVEL ACROSS THE OCEAN symbolizes part of this path.

Perfume Notes GRAVEL ACROSS THE OCEAN

Bergamotte

Is obtained from the peel of the still unripe bergamot fruit by cold pressing. The essential bergamot oil is characterized by a fresh, tangy, tart, fruity fragrance.

Lemon

This fragrance can be produced both by pressing the lime peel and by distilling the fruit. Pressed lime oil is mainly used for perfumes. It is used to add freshness to fragrance compositions, especially in the top note.

Cashmere Wood

The scent of Cashmere Wood, or Cashmeran, is multi-layered and complex. It has intense musky and woody nuances and is characterised by a rich, spicy - balsamic scent.

Rose

The fragrance of the rose is produced from the petals. The rose essential oil extracted from it, as well as the rose absolute made from buds, are among the most luxurious fragrances in the world. The petals of the rose, the raw material for the essential oil, are picked by hand.Roses are one of the oldest fragrances in perfumery.

Oud

The fragrance oud, or aoud, is extracted from the resin of the eaglewood tree, which grows in Northeast India and Southeast Asia. The scent is perceived as oriental, sensual, aromatic, and sexy, but also warm, woody and rough.

Tonka bean

The fragrance is extracted from the tonka bean. Possessing a sweetish - heavy note, is also used in the kitchen. The scent of tonka beans is warm with light caramel notes and is often used in balsamic masculine fragrances.

Guaiac wood - Gaiac

Vanilla
